Budjet Privacy Policy

    Summary: Budjet is a family pocket money app. We collect only what's needed to make the app work. We don't sell your data. Children's privacy is our top priority.
  

1. Who We Are

Budjet is developed by PinchySoft. This policy explains how we handle data in the Budjet mobile application.

2. Data We Collect

Family Data (stored in Google Firebase):

Family name, invite code, currency preference
Parent names
Children's names and chosen avatar character
Chores, allowance schedules, savings goals
Transaction history (allowances, bonuses, transfers)
Achievement progress

Authentication:

Parents sign in with Google — we receive your Google display name and a unique ID. We do not access your Google password, contacts, or any other Google data.
Children join using a family invite code via anonymous authentication. No personal account is required for children.
Family members use a 4-digit PIN to switch between profiles within the app.

Photos:

Children may take photos as proof of completed chores. These photos are uploaded to Firebase Storage and are only accessible to the family.
Feedback screenshots (optional) are uploaded when submitting bug reports or suggestions.
We do not access your device's photo gallery. The app uses the camera only.

Device Information (feedback only):

When submitting feedback, we collect: device platform, OS version, app version, and locale. This helps us diagnose issues.

Push Notifications:

If enabled, we store a device token to send notifications about chore completions and spending requests. You can disable notifications at any time in the app settings.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect real financial or banking information
We do not track your location
We do not use analytics or advertising SDKs
We do not sell, share, or monetise your data in any way
We do not use cookies or web tracking

4. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to provide the Budjet app experience:

Syncing family data across devices in real time
Processing allowances and interest calculations
Sending push notifications for chore and spending events
Displaying achievement progress

5. Children's Privacy

    Budjet is designed for use by children under parental supervision. We take children's privacy seriously.
  

Children do not need an email address or personal account to use Budjet
Children's data (name, avatar, chores, balances) is stored within the family group and is only visible to family members
Children cannot share data outside the app
Photo proof is only visible to the child's parents
Parents can delete all family data at any time from Settings

6. Data Storage & Security

All data is stored on Google Firebase (Firestore database, Firebase Storage, Firebase Authentication), hosted in secure Google Cloud infrastructure
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest
Access to family data is restricted by Firebase security rules — only authenticated family members can read or write their own family's data

7. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your family account exists
Parents can delete all family data at any time via Settings → Delete All Data in the app
Upon deletion, all family data, transactions, chores, photos, and device tokens are permanently removed from our servers

8. Third-Party Services

Budjet uses the following third-party services:

Google Firebase — database, authentication, file storage, push notifications, app distribution. Firebase Privacy Policy
Google Sign-In — parent authentication only. Google Privacy Policy

We do not use any advertising, analytics, or tracking services.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access your data (visible within the app)
Export your data (via CSV export in Settings)
Delete your data (via Settings → Delete All Data)
Withdraw consent for notifications (via Settings)

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
